  • Dr. Louis Oechsli

    Dr. Louis V. Oechsli ('Exlee') DC CCSP has been providing excellent care for the people of the Eastern Shore since 1988.  

    Dr. Oechsli, who graduated Magna Cum Laude from both Rutgers University in 1983 and Life University school of Chiropractic in 1987, established his practice in Salisbury, MD in 1988.

    Dr. Oechsli earned his Chiropractic Sports Physician Certification from New York Chiropractic College in 1991.  He has worked with men's league and little league sports teams, including serving the Eastern Shore Sharks pro soccer team as team doctor.  He expanded the practice in 1998 with the addition of Dr. John C. Wood, DC as the demand for natural, drug free health care continues to grow.  Dr. Oechsli specializes in conditions of the neck, back and extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot) that result from sports injuries, automobile or work related injury, or just everyday life.  Dr. Oechsli enjoys boating, fishing, weight lifting, surfing and skiing.  He is a parishioner of Trinity Methodist Church and lives in Eden, MD with his wife and two children.  

  • Dr. John Wood

    Dr. John C. Wood has been in practice since 1998, providing the eastern shore community gentle and effective chiropractic health care.  

    Dr. Wood is a Salisbury native who graduated with a bachelors degree from Salisbury University in 1989.  He then entered Life University school of Chiropractic and obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1996, graduating Cum Laude.   

    Dr. Wood specializes in the treatment of many musculoskeletal disorders and provides treatment for all age groups including children and the elderly.  Gentle and effective treatment is provided for spinal conditions such as neck and back pain, scoliosis detection and treatment, degenerative conditions such as arthritis (degenerative joint and disc disease), disc conditions, pinched nerves in the spine or joints resulting in arm and leg pain and numbness as well as treatment to the other major joints of the body for conditions related to arthritis or joint injuries including the shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet.  Other conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and plantar fasciitis can also be treated effectively.  Soft tissue (muscle, ligament and tendon) injuries such as strain/sprains are also managed effectively from initial treatment through rehabilitation.  Exercise and nutritional counseling is also provided to patients.  Following a thorough evaluation, Dr. Wood provides chiropractic care through a variety of techniques which are fully explained to the patient.  Hands on or instrument joint mobilization and adjustment techniques are provided as well as a range of physical therapy modalities.  Dr. Wood is committed to resolving his patient's conditions and will also make appropriate referrals to other health care specialists as required.      

    Dr. Wood has always called the Eastern Shore his home and is committed to providing superior chiropractic care to his neighbors on the Eastern Shore.  He is ready to provide you with gentle and effective chiropractic care.

    Sharon Evans
    is a Salisbury native who has been part of the Oechsli and Wood Chiropractic team for sixteen years. She states one of the top things she enjoys is seeing the patients at the office feel so much better with their treatment and being able to return to their normal activities in life. She states she enjoys the family and community atmosphere at the office. Sharon enjoys reading, watching movies and spending time with her family.
